How to plant
Seeds germinate easily when sown in autumn. Some seedlings may flower within a year, while all will reach flowering size by the second season.
For container growing, use a light, sandy soil mix and keep it moist once germination begins. Allow seedlings to grow until the foliage dies down, then remove the corms from the soil. Separate cormlets by size—those large enough can be replanted to flower, while smaller ones should be grown in rows for another season.

September to October
